In loving memory of my brother and June's son Stephen Brady. Shelter was one of the charities that Steve supported during his lifetime due to their support for the basic social rights of all people. The money that we have donated was collected at Steve's funeral on 17th of December 2023. Mom and I wish to thank Steve's family and friends who gave generously to support this very worthy charity.

Colette Carter

It is with a heavy heart that we remember our dear colleague, Colette Carter who sadly died on the 25.09.2023. She was an integral part of our Shelter support services within Birmingham. During her 5 years at Shelter Colette made significant contributions to our organisation. Colette guided some of our most hard to reach vulnerable rough sleepers into recovery, with kindness, compassion and empathy. As we mourn, we also celebrate the positive impact she had and the legacy she leaves behind.

Alan Gurney

In memory of my wonderful, beloved husband Alan. Traveller, mountaineer and keen cyclist, Alan was born in Birmingham. He studied geology at Aberystwyth University and then town planning in Birmingham. He worked in Birmingham and Coventry and for some months in 1965 in Tangail in what was then East Pakistan. This gave him an opportunity to travel back overland. We married in 1980 and loved to travel throughout our life together. It was very special to be with Alan as he peacefully passed away.
